Transforming the St Mirren Tunnel: Implementation

Part 3 – Implementation

In our concluding blog on the St Mirren Tunnel, today we look at the last stage in the process - implementation of the tunnel panels.

It seemed almost symbolic that, having started the tunnel renovation in January, the week of project completion coincided with St Mirren finally earning their deserved promotion to the Scottish Premier League. As Jack Ross’s team took to the pitch to claim their trophy, they were surrounded by historic images of victories and legends, as if signifying the beginning of a new era at the club.

The final stage in the tunnel panel journey was left in the capable hands of Renfrew based contractors AMJ Joinery. They implemented the 20+ tongue and groove panel design with care and precision, providing a seamless display of Ken Doig’s striking graphics. Finished with a black powder coated trim to the skirting and door areas, the completed job is dramatic and impactful, capturing the spirit of the club to perfection.

Renovation to the tunnel area will be completed with a fitted Astroturf floor, creating the ultimate inspirational environment for players before they head to the pitch this premiership season.
