Rearo is once again backing Scottish Apprenticeship Week (5th – 9th March 2018) with a promise to recruit yet another young person to the staff team.
This will bring the total number of Rearo apprentices to 17 in just four years. Working in partnership with The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and Learn Direct, we offer school leavers the opportunity to develop their skills in both manufacturing and sales, while also growing in confidence in the workplace.
Rearo MD Graham Mercer said: “Our apprentices make up around 10 per cent of our overall workforce, so they’re a critical part of our team. We investing in young apprentices to ensure we have a pipeline of skilled, qualified team members for the future. At the same time, it’s important to us to as a company to offer local young people the chance to start their career in a highly supportive environment.”
The apprentices spend one day a week at college and the rest of their time honing their craft in our manufacturing centre in Glasgow, or developing their customer service skills in one of our six showrooms.
As part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2018, we’ve pledged to recruit a Modern, Foundation or Graduate Apprentice during the next year, in association with our RSA grant. To read more on this grant: https://www.rearo.co.uk/blog/rearo-expands-govan-headquarters-to-accommodate-growth/
