Iain Weir Retires
As Rearo, Scotland's leading suppliers and manufacturers of
laminated and solid surface materials to both commercial and
domestic markets, celebrates 20 years in business, it bids a fond
farewell to one of its original staff, Port Glasgow man John 'Iain'
Weir,.
Iain from Port Glasgow in Inverclyde
retires this month from the company, where he was one of the firm's
first employees back in 1991. During his time there, he has played
an integral role in passing on his skills as a highly qualified
wood machinist to scores of new starts in the firm, and was key to
making the company the success that it is today.

Iain comments; 'I started out with
only seven colleagues and am leaving over 100 workmates in the
company. I have been delighted to see the company flourish
and be part of this Scottish manufacturing success
story.'
Graham Mercer, MD of Rearo adds; 'We owe a
huge amount to Iain and are very sad to see him go. I am assured
however that, his wife Agnes has a long list of DIY jobs for him to
keep his 'hand in' and put his skills to good use.'
