Rearo Support Orphans in Rwanda

For the past year Rearo have supported Hope and Homes for Children with their project in Rwanda.  Rearo's support came on the tenth anniversary of the genocide in the country.

Every 14 seconds AIDS turns a child into an orphan.  In Rwanda, a country which has already had long and severe epidemics, AIDS is generating orphans so quickly that family structures can no longer cope.

Families and communities can barely fend for themselves, let alone take care of the orphans.  A generation of children is being raised by grandparents or left on their own in child-headed households.

Hope and Homes for Children offer vital support by:

• Giving parents with HIV emotional support and help them prepare a future for their children.
• Give Children orphaned by AIDS care, education, essential food, shelter and clothing.

Rearopal for Rwanda

When Rearo introduced the Rearopal worktop range earlier this year, the company committed that for every worktop or breakfast bar sold we would donate £5.00 to Hope and Homes for children.  This donation is specifically for their work with orphans in Rwanda.

The principle is that : - "while you choose a worktop for your new kitchen, where you will feed and nurture your family, you will also provide and nurture for some of the world's poorest children."

Rearo's staff are fully committed to do all they can for these children.
